The HD Master Brake Cylinder
that is made by Teraflex has a bore that is oversized and it has a flow that is
14% more. This is an upgrade that is
recommended so that you will have a pedal that is firmer with your big brake
kit. This is the ideal solution for that
soft pedal that can occur once you have upgraded to big brakes. Jeep JKs from 2007, 2008 and 2011 are more
susceptible to this so it is very highly recommended for those model years.
This master brake cylinder
serves to compensate for the larger size of the caliper pistons that are found
in big brake kits with a bore that is also oversized to have a flow that is 14
more for the volume of fluid.
Please note:
When you bleed the brakes,
there are steps that need to be followed.
Bench bleed them before installation and pump the pedal slowly while
bleeding them to avoid damaging the seal.
Eventually, here will be
replacement parts needed for nearly everything on your Jeep and this includes
the brakes. This master brake cylinder
is considered to be one of them. The
calipers will finally be ready to hang and the cast iron rotors are equipped
with a dual bolt pattern to accommodate various applications.
